was formed in the back of my family's warehouse 8 years ago. It was a true hobby turned obsession, specializing in both performance and normal maintenance applications. From the 4 years in the back of a warehouse to 3 cramped years growing in a tiny shop.. we just celebrated our 6th anniversary in our larger facility where we currently sit (stayed tuned for exciting additions)! I cannot thank our current and past customers enough for the opportunity to continue this passion!

Meet Our Team
Owner - Shawn Abedi
Shawn grew up locally and graduated UCO in 2012. During college, he sold cars at his family's local dealership. All while starting Misfire Motorsports in the back of the storage warehouse after years of working on Subaru's from a mobile outfit. You can always expect a ton of energy, and great conversation wherever he's found! Shawn bought his first Subaru at 16yo, and his love brand was the motivation to start the business from his hobby. Staying committed to giving honest service and reliable work built his trusted reputation. The real MVP is Shawn's wife Cassie, who can occasionally be seen around the shop keeping Shawn in line! When you talk to Shawn it's pretty simple.. he loves Subaru's, he's dedicated to doing right by each customer, and he'll always tell you exactly how it is!
Lead Technician - Grant Smith
Grant came to Misfire through a 5-year friendship with Shawn. His professional career started as a State Certified Aircraft Mechanical Welder Tinker AFB, where he also worked fuel systems on B-52 bombers. Grant is certified and skilled to handle all in-house fabrication on any metal necessary. A lifelong fan and owner of Subaru's as well, the chemistry makes for great work!
Sales and Service Consultant/Office Manager - Ryne Smith
Ryne joined the Misfire team in October of 2020 and has been full speed ever since! We appreciate his positive attitude and energy he brings into the shop. He comes to us from a Subaru dealership and has an abundance of knowledge when it comes to the platform. You will get know Ryne quickly, as he is the voice you hear when calling and the guy you will see when entering our office! We can't wait for everyone to get to know him.
Shop MVP – Russell
Russ is a 6yo Border Collie/Australian Shepard mix. He keeps the mood light, charms customers, and is usually walking around with a tennis ball in his mouth or playing basketball in the back.. yes, I said basketball. When coming through our office, don't get spooked by his bark. He is all bark and no bite :)
